With the help of a few friends I got my cardio and legs session in today. The last fews day I have been feeling a bit run down and there are two reasons for this.
1.) Several people I have been in close contact with have a cold right now and I might have caught it…
2.) I have not been sleeping a solid 8-9 hours a night.
Although I feel like I am coming down with something, I know my body very well and if I felt I was risking getting even worse than I would have choose to stay home instead of working out. But sometimes a good sweaty gym session can help me feel better. After that intense leg session, I’m glad I got my sweat on.
How do you cope with working out when you’re feeling sick?

I’ve felt horrible the last few days, and because it was a stomach issue, I laid off my workouts. Did some cardio today and had to take it easy, but felt a bit better afterwards!

If it’s in my head (I mean a head cold, not an imagined cold!) I’lll probably run - low intensity cardio keeps me fit and burning calories. If it’s in my chest, it’s a rest day.

Depends on how sick I feel. If its not bad, I’ll still go and do what I can.

I do light activity like restorative yoga when sick and get extra sleep. And kombucha. Feel better, sweets.

I feel like a good soccer game makes the colds go away! ;)

I follow the same rule you do. Sometimes I feel better after working out but I pay attention to my heart rate and overall feeling.
