HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2013 came quickly and this was our last new years eve as fiancé and fiancée! A good friend of mine pointed this out to me before new years and it was an eye-opener to think that this would be our last holiday ‘single’. Our engagement was almost two years long and in 7 months we will become Mr. and Mrs.! It is starting to become very real and exciting to know that I will be married this summer to my best friend and partner in crime.
2012 was an amazing year and I made several dreams come true. I also experienced several intense struggles but I learned some very valuable lessons from these experiences which led me to becoming a stronger and wiser person.
The events that took place in 2012 proved to me that I can obtain my deepest desires if I chase them passionately and work hard. As you know I have a long list of goals and I am ready to tackle even bigger goals this year. Stay tuned as I continue to grow as a WBFF PRO, an athlete, a coach, a professional, a person, and a future wife to be.
I am ready to rock 2013!! Who’s with me?

SOMETIMES IT IS GOOD TO BE FULL OF BS. But the only BS I want you to be full of this holiday season are Brussels sprouts! Be honest with yourself and decide in advance the amount of food or alcohol you plan on consuming at your next event and stick with it. If you drop the ball, take the time to reflect on it, don’t turn a blind eye! It is easier to ignore your actions and move forward but the same issue(s) that caused you to binge eat or drink will still exist and your cycle of sabotage will live on. This holiday season I challenge you to resolve your issues, stick to your plan, feel good about the food and drinks you enjoyed, and enter 2013 with a fresh mind.

If the new year is something that inspires you to change then go with it. What works for one person may not work for the next. But the bottom line is that if you want something different then you have to do something different!

Don’t let another year go by without you taking action toward making your dreams come true!

Over the holidays I spoke with a guy friend of mine who was talking to me about how he wants to “get in shape”, “become healthier”, “eat better”, “lose weight”, “have more energy”, and “no longer weigh 250lbs”. It’s fantastic when people can identify what they want and where they are currently going wrong or what’s preventing them from achieving their goals. However, this is all talk unless something is done about it. The unfortunate part of this story is that him and I had this EXACT same conversation last year. The fortunate part of this story is that it’s never too late to change.

Set your goals (large or small) and write them down and the date you would like to accomplish them by. Remember, you “are powerful beyond measure” and you can do anything… Trust me on this one!
